Docwylie (Buffalo)
Desert Coyote (Buffalo)

Another attendee would be my cousin (Buffalo area) who just took delivery of an '08 HHR (not yet a member of this board).

The first weekend in February is the Super Bowl so 2/2 might pose a problem for some. I can't do anything the next weekend, so am suggesting Saturday 2/16. Any thoughts on this? Also, any preferences for planning this for a daytime gathering to allow for car viewing and picture taking?

As to location, since there are folks coming from both Buffalo and Rochester (with a few from environs farther to the east and west), Batavia might be the location that is mutually inconvenient for all. There's a Tully's there and although I've never seen it or been there I'm thinking it might be a good place to gather. I will call and see what kind of arrangements we could make...availability of a private room, place to park our HHR's, etc.

Well, screw that plan! Tully's told me they don't take reservations, couldn't give us a private room or area, and no matter when we came in on a Saturday we'd probably have to wait about a half hour or longer to be seated.

Sounds like a plan, Tom. Keep us posted.

Well nuts.

Anyone else know of a good place in Batavia? (Or have a suggestion for an alternative?)

OK..Here's the latest...

I found a place that looks terrific from the online directories: Center Street Smokehouse in Batavia. (There's a review at http://www.insiderpages.com/b/3718986450) I talked to the manager who said they can do anything we want, they'll set up a place for us and that there's parking there to line up all the HHR's. I told him there would be about 20 people.

I don't know yet, but I'm going to see if I can do a reconnaissance trip in the next week or so to get a first-hand look at the place and test their menu.

Tom,
JoAnn and I have been there several times. Nice inside and decent food.
Let me know when you think you might try to do the reconnaissance trip.
Possibly we could meet you and Kim there.

I'm also in for the get-together, assuming there is no conflict with the final date. I just drove my 5-speed HHR for the first time in 3 months since my rotator-cuff surgery (I couldn't use my left arm and therefore no driving standards ). It was like getting a new car again! I did drive it a couple of miles near my house once a week to prevent brake parts from seizing due to non-use, but now I can finally drive it everywhere.
