1955 Chevrolet Restoration-Pics
Excellent story & love the tri-fives too.. Cool project. 
My first car was a 1953 Chevy 210 Deluxe, I was 14 yrs old, & it had a 'spun' rod bearing, on the 235 in-line 6 banger..
Of course I later trans-planted a V-8 in it..Which involved changing the enclosed driveshaft / rearend & tranny..etc..
Yes 1955 was first year V-8 for Chevy, whopping 265 cu in..
& Ford was making V-8 Flatties since about 1932 (go figure)..

Not alot lately, mostly just small minor details. When I get back on it more pics will be posted.
Busy with my Panel once the supercharger and all the rest in done on Morticia I will resume the '55 project.

I just love that old AC Oil Filter sittin there on top.
I worked in a Service Station back then and we used to put a roll of toilet paper in them.
Cheap .. Cheap..

P.S. I bought a Brand New 56 2dr. Hardtop White and Blue.
That was when they had the split bumper and the solid bumper in production.
It gave away where the car was built.
