the billet grille looks great. i really like what you've done to your HHR and where you are going with it. keep it up.

and out of curiosity, what pieces are you blacking out?

if you look at the top of the grille, you can see the mounting lip in the inside of the hood.

paint it black and it won't be seen.

You can still use the black plastic piece with that grille. Unless you really want to paint it.

I had to do alot of painting behind the grille, especially after a few months things start to rust...cleaning is a *****. but the look is well worth it. Curious about your HU though. I also have someone tweak my sounds for me. They told me for pure sound clarity, go with an audio only HU? Is this true or not? I don't really know. I have Alpine type R components, and Type R's in the back doors...all kinds of power, the HU is the top of the line Alpine, and two Sony X-plod 10's in the rear. It sounds great, but always looking for a little more. I have been told the amps are more than what I need. And truly the Bass shakes my foot off the brake pedal, I want to keep the clarity, but would love the DVD, Etc.! Any thoughts? Todd(Uma) BTW, just a personal opinion, too show off... play "Angels & Airwaves" (either CD) as loud as you can stand it.

Jared, the new grill looks good. You always find the neatest places to take pics
