If you got that oil filler cap from ebay, could you tell me the buyer?

The reason it is not listed to fit pre-08 is the C.A.R.B. Certification. As you can barely see in the picture, you get a sticker to prove the intake is CARB certified that you can stick where ever you want. My guess is they changed something emissions wise (hense the change in HP rating?) for 2008 that allowed it to be CARB certified. But yes it does fit Pre-08 models I was the guinea pig for the accesories department, lol.

Seller?

That is the seller and cap I ordered, I like the gunmetal finish a lot, doesn't stand out as much as the polish would.

The CARB Cert or lack of for pre-o8's makes it one of those hide and swap in the stock setup whenever you go in for the smog check, especially here in California.
So far every CAI I've checked out except for the GMPP item isn't CARB certified. Then again, I think starting with a certain model year cars are not tested as frequently as older model years (eg 1994 -semi annual). .... hmm easier to cheat the system???

I'm thinking of getting one of these for my wife's since she started getting codes with the CGS.

Thinking about one for myself too. I'd hate to cover-up my nice powder coted valve cover though!
