A word to those of us who have already switched to an aftermarket intake and are considering this one..............
I hope you kept the "rail/bar" or whatever you want to call it that the the rear of the oem intake rested on, you will need it to install the GMPP intake. Saddly, I can't find either of the ones I took off after to switching to a CGS.

Not true, look at the shot with the lid off. You can see that without the box it is esentially a VERY short section of pipe, for the MAF sensor, and the filter. The box is simply to keep the incoming air going to the filter away from the hot air in the engine compartment.

GM performance air filter
This is a high quality performance product. Polished aluminum tube, VPC (vapor metal coated) aluminum lid. Dry filter, unlike some oil coated systems which if they cause damage to a sensor it is not covered under warranty. I could probably gets these at $350.00 plus s&h.
