Excelent ! and thanks for the input Blackknight ! So you think the solid bar is superior to the reciever type? Forgive my ignorance its just something I never really had to deal with before , used plently of hitches over the years but they were all kinda worl related and just "there" so this is the first time Ive had to deal with it from the ground up ... Is there anything else anyone could suggest watching out for?

I considered installing the roof rack but A) its not really the over all "Look" im going for , unless I could find like silver and black or silver and wood grained that matched the overall "herse" look were kinda going for ... I guess I could just grow up but hey wheres the sport in that? and .... B) I also feel the rear storage solution is better due to the fact that in my limited engineering ability mind you ... even though additional weight will still effect gas mileage , it should be less then the giant soft bag on the roof adding to the drag and effecting the overall aerodynamics of the vehical ... its a 10 hour run and lets face it gas is bad enough on its own these days.

This tent - a great thing.
But I would not buy it.
I do not want to criticize this wonderful product. Really wonderful, I do not prevaricate.
But this tent has some serious drawbacks. I delivered them to balance the previously mentioned advantages.
1. The suitability of the awning. I mean the question "why do I need this?". It says - sleeping 6 people comfortably. But in the HHR does not fit 6 people! Two arrive by his car, may I suggest that they have his own tent. Now these four people who came through the HHR - who are they? As a rule - a married couple with children or company of young lovers (2 guys, 2 girls). In both cases, living together under one tent is not mandatory, and in some cases, even uncomfortable. Of course, there are times when a couple has very small children or four brave fishermen on a picnic - but it's not a typical situation.
2. The cost of the tent. This is more expensive than an ordinary tent. If we take into account the point number 1 - excessive spending.
3. The construction of a tent. The awning has a floor - it's good to sleep. But I'm not going to sleep in it. I want to use it as: living room - dining table for eating in the rain, child room - a playroom for my little rascals, working room - a comfortable setting for ice fishing. In all cases, textile floor - a problem. At least - always dirty, as a maximum - in tatters. For ice fishing this tent does not fit - there is no insulation and a large sail.
4. Car chained to an awning. Imagine the situation: early morning, your children are sleeping peacefully inside the tent, but you urgently need a car to get to the nearest store (mail, hospitals, railway stations, drinking water wells, etc.). I will not continue.
Conclusion: a lot of tissue, take up much space in a car, is expensive, inconvenient to use in all cases except the bed, difficult use of the car - it is easier to buy an ordinary tent.

Once again I want to say - I think this tent Really wonderful, but only to a limited range of tasks. Buy after careful deliberation.

Recommended by having many Jewish families, swingers and crews repair power lines.
