I think the closest thing he could do is just get a sheet of mesh and paint it with the black chrome. Would be pretty easy I'd imagine. Joe...sounds like one more project?

I have seen a wire mesh bottom one on EBay that painted the same would probably go with the upper pretty well. But they are wanting more than I paid for this one and it's just the bottom section....

But I've always had a plan to "updating" the billet. Might just have to actually get it done now, I think I have all the supplies already. Hummm, maybe a plan for tomorrow.

Best of luck! When you get a chance can you take a pic on a sunny day? I feel like the pics you've posted so far haven't done your grille full justice...I just think it's awesome.

Took these with my cell while out today. About to pull the billet out and start some wet sanding.... Debating on to just get it shined up good and the just black chrome it, or once it's polished up good, mask off HHR in the center, hit the rest with black chrome so only the HHR part is polished....

Lower billet get black chromed today to make it more subdued. I started to do the HHR, but couldn't make a decent looking R.....lol

Have the upper back out and have a threaded rod being glue in with JB Weld. It's supposed to rain here tomorrow so it will get at least 24 hours to set before I put it back in. Crossing my fingers....

Brandon,

This is the gutter mesh overlay I did on my old Silverado. Cheap to do and changed so much on the grill.
