Man that's a good looking truck...makes me miss my old xtreme s10

I had the Street Scene mesh grill in my S10...looked very similar to yours on the Silverado, but it cost about $100 vs. your $6.00...lol.

The "Goop of a Million Uses", never leave home or your toolbox without it. Saved my bacon a time or three over the years.

Thanks Sleeper.....
Well, installed it mid afternoon yesterday. Tighened it down. All looked good. Closed the hood, pop goes the stud....

Had a SUnday School gathering, so we took the wifes. Got back and decieded to try the JB Weld and reinstall the original bracket. Won't be able to installed it until after dinner time tonight. Checked it out just now and it's firm. But only been about 14 hours. I did install the stud into it before I seated it down so I won't have to do that later. I used the upper backing to make sure the stud was in the right place and to keep the part from sliding any. So far so good....

That's what I'm using. To be honest, I've never used it before. I went to put up my hummingbird feeder yesterday and the tab that hold the tank on broke, so I'm tring it on that to see if it will fix that also......

Good luck with it Joe! I know you have a lot of time invested in that grill. I think it's liveable if you for some reason the the JB Weld doesn't work. I'm sure you can figure something out to get that corner to stay on.

Well, let it set for 24 hours. INstalled, tightened all nuts. Looked perfect. CLosed the hood and................... popped loose again... Looks like JBWeld doesn't like this type of plastic. I'll try something different at a later date.

OH well, it will roll as it rolls...

Got the Thule bike rack already on on hitch, once luggage is loaded tomorrow I'll strap on the mountain bikes. Picking up my daughter at noon from gymnastics and heading to Charleston until Saturday.

Solman- Are you prepping the area first ?

I sand a little on both mating surfaces, for for something to bite into & wipe with alcohol, then the JB Weld.

Works for me, another member sucessfully repaired his inside door handle with JB Weld also..

I"m going to try it again at a later date. I haven't reopend the hood to see exactly what area popped loose. But heading out on vacation later today. Hoping to take the HHR as long as everything fits. Luggage for 3 plus my golf clubs is tight enough, now the wife mentions a cooler.... So we'll see.....
