Yea I'd assumed it took a bit of fabrication. Didn't realize the parts were that expensive, but still. You might have a market if it's something you'd want to do.

There was a guy on my Scion forum who started a semi-business in tinting people's tail lights. They'd send a payment plus deposit, he'd send them a finished tinted set of tail lights to their specifications, and they'd send him their stock lights in exchange for a return of their deposit. Other people did similar things with gauge clusters for LED modifications.

If I had a spare $700 or so (or whatever comes out as fair on your end) laying around and you were willing to build me a set of lights like that, I'd consider it.

edit - just re-read your original post and realized you weren't referring to the opening on the light assembly, but the opening where the assembly went on the vehicle. Guess that would change things a bit.
