The radio died. . I have checked the fuse. I am by no means a mechanic. I'm just a chick trying to save a few bucks. It was working when I bought it for my Mother a few years ago. When her illness worsened, it was sitting for quite a while ago so the car wasn't driven for about 6 months. I have been driving it for a couple of months now and at first the radio was working then it stopped. It's like it isn't getting power so I of course checked the fuse. Since that is the extent of my mechanical knowledge, I am bringing my question to you guys/gals. Please help.

 

Welcome to the site, have the battery load tested , after sitting it could be low voltage.
It could just be the speakers have died!
Does the radio light up?

 

No it doesn't respond to me trying to turn it on. I have a new battery so it's not that.

 

Which radio do you have? Pioneer or regular, the pioneer would have a nameplate on the rear inside trim panel.

Which fuse did you check?
