Radio/Chimes/Remote start issues
Radio/Chimes/Remote start issues
As you can tell by my name I have a 2009 Panel, it's a LS.
All at basically the same time the chimes have stopped, the left front channel of the stereo is almost completed dead (small amount of sound out of the tweeter) and the remote stater doesn't work. When you press the remote start button the headlights blink once but nothing happens.
Since I have 50,000 miles on it the warranty is over and I'd rather not have the dealer playing Lets Take A Guess At the Problem with the car.
Anyone have a clue where I can start? Until I found the remote didn't work I was thinking stereo at fault but I can't figure out the link between the stereo and the non-start condition.

Might be of some help.

The only way to know for sure is the next time it quits, you need to test for power at the speaker.
If you have power and the connector tests good, then it's a speaker. If you don't have power then it's the wiring or the head unit.

Yea, I know but I was hoping for something that didn't involve trying to rip the door apart while the thing is still broken.
What do I need to measure at the speaker?? I was just planning on trying to hook up another speaker but measuring for voltage would probably be faster and easier. AC low voltage right?
