06 HHR LT 2.4 Engine power reduced engine no crank Fathers Day Fiasco
Got it fixed.
Well thank you to those that tried to help with my father's day troubles on my 06 HHR LT 2.4. Unfortunately what ideas were given didn't really help much. But what did the trick was just a bit of patience and pulling all the relays and fuses then reinstall them then clear the codes and repeat that process about fifteen times . Then it just started right up with no codes, no reduced engine power, no messages about the power steering, no check engine light. Nothing and for a while the car had 1 head light that would only shine at half power. But couldn't figure out why. It seems to have some how repaired that as well. I had changed the bulbs, I replaced the socket 2 times and it just kept burning at half power. But now it's working fine. Everything seems to be working better than it had in a long time. I think now might be when we say enough with this damn nightmare and get rid of this damn disappointment of a failure in Chevrolet design department and get a new car. This thing has been a plague since my old lady got it. The front end components have had to be changed every year, the electrical system has had me worried about when is the car b que going to happen on the highway several times. The door handles have broken off of each door inside and outside more times then I care to count. These things are the reason I will never own another Chevrolet again. Good luck to the rest of you. You are going to need it.
Ok, happy trails! I didn’t see your response to post #2 and #3 you state you know about it but don’t confirm you tightened those bolts.
But moot point , by the way the wire harness and fuse box were developed by Saab
