07 Temp. guage flatline

Ding, Ding, Ding! I hear, As I look down to see the "check engine" light is on
and the temp guage is flatlined. I also checked the temp through the ECM thingy in the dash , and that read ---. I'm thinking the sensor. The other thing I noticed was that the remote start did not operate when the check engine light is on. Has anybody else have this issue and was the sensor the problem ?

If your vehicle is under 100,000 miles, take it to a dealership as its a powertrain warranty replacement. At least, mine was, and I didn't think it was..
