Heated seat problem

Hi guys,
I added leather/heated seats and switch shortly after I got my 07 panel (LT w/ harness) but never had the computer reprogramed becuse I did not want to pay $98.99 at all the local dealers. The truck was at the dealer today getting the T-stat replaced so I cracked and asked them to reprogram it to activate the seat heaters, but they told me the BMC was locked and not reprogramable. Is this BS or what? please advise.
Victor

I have not programed heated seats but I have had my dealer reprogram the body controler for fog lights on a 07 LT with no problem.

The BCM is not locked and reprogramming it is an easy task for a competent tech with a scan tool. I'd give another dealer a call and talk to the service manager, you were being fed a line of Bovine Byproduct.

Is there some type of "procedure" number for this action? Yeah, these guys were wennus heads! called me twice durning the day about this issue, after the second call I aggreed that they should not go further (did not want them to learn on my truck) That was Martin Chevrolet in Torrance CA. Cormier in Long Beach is the next try... Mabye.
Does anybody have any suggestions in the LA/South Bay area?
843de, did you win the HHR? My wife won a GM car last night at a Tupperware convention! wondering how it works and her rights, obligations? Victor

No specific procedure number, the scan tool can access a menu function and walk through the configuration of the BCM, the tech then simply selects the appropriate function to enable it.

Nope didn't win any of the HHR's, just depleted the bank account every time the urge to expand the herd hit.

I'm not familiar with how Tupperware awards vehicles, but normally you would be responsible for all applicable taxes and vehicle registration fees. If the vehicle has been awarded for a set time like "win the use of an HHR for a year", you would be obligated to have the vehicle serviced at the required intervals, keep to an agreed mileage limit, and possibly some use restrictions...like no commercial use.

843de,
Thank's for the reply. I don't know why I thought you won it. No the Boss won it straight out, or $24,000 GM bucks... I think, I'll find out later. Year end sales comming soon!

That's a quote from the late Dale Earnhardt in victory lane at Daytona after his only win in the 500. Sadly he lost his life there exactly 3 years and 3 days later.
