2007 key fob - original fobs

I have a key fob issue. None of the functions will work on either key fob. (Yes new batteries in both)

ive looked through the forums and everyone says a tech 2 scanner is needed to reprogram a fob. These are the original key fobs tho. I don't necessarily need a re program but a relearn.

I think the 08+ have a relearn feature within the odo/cluster but I'm not seeing this on my 07.

i believe, but someone correct me if I'm wrong. I think the battery went dead in the car and caused this key fob issue. But not 100% sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Even tho I'm a dodge man, I love my vette and this hhr seems like a wonderful daily for me.

thanks
-Phil

Welcome to the site, check the battery cage , they are known to break, a simple job to solder .
My 2007 had dead main battery issues, it did not mess up my key fobs!

And here's some pictures of the repair

I was afraid the dead Main battery was inaccurate.

But yes. One of the key fobs is broken on the inside. I plan on fixing that later today..

im really not sure what's wrong with the other one.. I think I seen somewhere to check #56 fuse under the hood?

I was able to fix both remotes!! Thanks everyone!

the metal battery holder was broken.. and the contacts on one remote were worn! Common problems as it seems. Both work perfect now tho

thanks again
