Quick update all. After examining the plugs, I realized that the endless posts about over tightening plugs had influenced my tightening of theft plugs. Plug 1 and 4 were loose. Retightened and now we are good. Thanks all for the help!! A free fix is always the best.

Awesome! Free and easy! Yeah, the spec is 15 lb ft or 20 N.m, which isn't very tight.

But I've got the 2007, so the parts guy gave me 2006 plugs , the rotter!

Glad your plugs are snug and the 2.2 is purring again! Awesome!

wait...... My 2006 2.4 should have the 105's? I've been running the 103's for almost a year and so far so good. After reading a bit it looks like the 105 is for the old style 2.2 carried over in the early years from the cavalier cobalt and Saturn's. The 2.4 from 2006 has all the new goodies found on the later 2.2's so looks like 103 is correct for me. I hope lol
