2011 LT - Intermittent shudder/stutter in brakes -> ABS light came on
For the past week, every once in a while, when you step on the brake pedal, you would feel a little shudder in the pedal and it felt like when the ABS kicks in when the pavement is a little slick. Nothing serious and so occasional my wife wasn't sure she was actually feeling something or just imagining it, lol.
But this morning on the way ro a doctor's appointment, every time I stepped on the brake pedal, it would rapidly shudder/stutter until it stopped. Then on the way home, the ABS light came on. After that, no more stutter/shudder the rest of the drive home.
Ideas?
Also - the Service ESC light is still occasionally coming on. I haven't had a chance to get it checked either.
Thanks again.

Ugh. Took it to the shop. They checked the brakes and said mechanically they look great. He test drove it and couldn't replicate the issues. At least I got the oil changed.
Of course it stuttered on the way to Wal-mart right after that. I picked up a new bluetooth dongle from HyperTough that reads ABS codes. The RepairSolutions2 App paired quickly and I got these two codes.C0460-42 - steering wheel angle sensor - calibration not programmed
C0040-0F- right front wheel speed sensor circuit - signal erratic

Has the steering column been replaced? Any modules been replaced?
Look for frayed wires or bad connectors around the RF hub.
C0460 42 actually is Steering Position Signal Initialization Not Accomplished. Check wiring and connectors to the EBCM, this might be the connection between the 2 codes.

The only thing on the steering column that has been replaced is the turn signal switch/stalk a few weeks ago. As I posted about that, afterwards it would occasionally chime when the door was open even with the key out. Turns out that the theft deterrent module is loose and I can't seem to get it snapped back in place.
