The wire connection is attached to the strut, you do not need to take the wheel off.
Strange that it reads TP since that is not a OBD2 item.

Of course it stuttered on the way to Wal-mart right after that. I picked up a new bluetooth dongle from HyperTough that reads ABS codes. The RepairSolutions2 App paired quickly and I got these two codes.C0460-42 - steering wheel angle sensor - calibration not programmed

C0040-0F- right front wheel speed sensor circuit - signal erratic
Well I got the HHT500 and tried the ABS and all it kept saying was that ABS was not available. Would not even go into that module any deeper.
This is on a 2011, so I would think it should be.
Everything else seems fine with 0 engine codes.
Coolant temp was accurate as well as tire pressures.

Update - took it into the shop. Managed to get the only HHR front hub in stock within the three nearby towns. Replaced. Driven for a couple hundred miles. No more shudder/stutter. No more ABS codes. No more Service ESC ligh.... crap. Three days without that light coming on, and now it is back on that same left hand curve on the county road leaving the house, about 50% of the time. Oh well. I'll take it. Thanks again for the help diagnosing.
