36+ CEL codes found after jump starting
I am thinking that you touched the top computer box (under the darth vader cover-which in most case is missing) with the jumper cables.
Look at my post: (How to keep your DIC from going crazy).
I also have an extra computer i can loan you if you want to test it.

He stated he jumped the battery in the back of the vehicle , read the thread!
I'm going with dead cell in the battery, thus the multiple codes , when you replace the battery, leave it did connected for at least 30 minutes to reset the computers, it been 5 years since my 07 did this similar code thing, all I saw was dollars flying out of my wallet, but just enough to buy the new battery

I was not aware of the jump posts under the hood. No owner's manual (daughter bought it last year 2nd or 3rd hand). I finally figured out the battery was in the back. Even if I knew about the jump posts under the hood, I couldn't possibly get a car in front to jump it -- the key couldn't be removed from the ignition and the shift lever wouldn't leave park to move it. Also, the rear hatch couldn't open until there was power. And yes...RED goes to RED and BLACK goes to BLACK.
I don't have any more codes. The Advance Auto person only gave me the first 36. The dealer guy told me most likely needs to be reset but they won't know until they start analysis.
Thanks...

There was NO POWER to OPEN there rear hatch. I bet he opened the hood & connected to the post in order to get the hatch to open & get to the battery.
We will have to wait and see if he come back(ONE AND DONE?) TO ANSWER THE QUESTION.
Luckily my jumper cables were long enough to come in through the rear right door. (I found a mod for installing an external switch on this site...may be a good idea.)
OK - sorry I missed it.
I am still waiting for him to come back and let us know what happened.
