Air Filter Casing - Does not just "lift off"

If anyone can help me, I would really appreciate it!

I have a 2007 HHR, and I'm trying to replace the air filter. All of the how-to forms I've found online say the caging just lifts off once you have the sensor and two hoses disconnected. But mine doesn't! There is an extra bolt keeping the housing connected to the main engine block.

I did buy my car used so I don't know if the housing had been replaced, but I really need help with this! Please and thank you!

Here's the "How To" thread, those grommets can put up a struggle.

There is a torx bolt on the front passenger side, I used an Allen wrench to loosen it then left it loose. AFTER you get that off all that is left is pulling the 2 rear posts out of the grommets.

Good Video. It was a 4 + minute video...... probably takes 10 minutes total. Can't understand the owners that complain about the time it takes to change the filter.

Anyway, the only thing I would add, and many have suggested, adding a little high temp or silicone grease to the rubber grommets. That will make it easier for removal next time.

I found a bolt that held down the air filter where the rubber gromit would be on the rt front of the housing on my fathers car. I replaced the bolt with the correct post for the rubber gromit. I assumed that some repair shop he had taken it to installed the bolt for some reason. His car was also an 2007 2.2
