If that’s the issue perhaps order a new case and keypad. Amazon or eBay are good sources

 

Remove the battery from the fob, give the whole thing forty whacks with a five-pound sledge hammer, burn it, and bury anything that remains someplace where no one will accidentally dig it up for at least 200 years.
