The ledge area where the cage nut lives can get packed with road salt and brine and the result is corrosion.
I start spraying PB Blaster a few days before I tackle the job.

 

That’s what I’ve been doing. Unfortunately I’m unlucky enough to have contracted the flu or something since the last time we talked and I’ll be lucky if I can even complete this post. I’ll keep everybody updated later.O

 

Passenger side bolt head cut off engine cradle removed

Driver side again the cradle has been removed

Where the cage nut is caged on the driver’s side, steering rack and swaybar removed
