Another CEL, and car didn't want to start today

So after 6 months of owning this HHR, I want to trade it in already. Part of me is thinking another HHR because I know so many of you don't have issues but I have had nothing but with this one.

Threw a CEL Saturday on the way home from test driving a car for my guy, it sat all day yesterday. Well then today I couldn't get it to remote start, of course the day it is -5 out in the morning. So I ran out and it would hardly turn over. Got to work, brought the girls out to take them to dentist and to class and now at 20 degrees out it still was having serious issues turning over.

Not sure if the not wanting to start is part of the CEL but I am sick of having to take it in every week to the dealership for something breaking, a tire sensor failing, or a CEL. This is getting frustrating. It only has 25k on it now there is no reason why it should keep breaking.

Okay end rant.

Hope you get a solution this time. FYI the car won't remote start if the CEL is on by design.

Maybe Sunflower its time to change dealers, sometimes the biggest problem with a "problem" vehicle is the people working on it. I know finding another place to have it serviced is a PITA, but I think that might be the next best step for you to take.

Pitbull, thanks I didn't know remote wont' work if the CEL is on.

And 843de yeah I know, I keep wanting to switch but none of the other dealerships will give me a rental on the spot without looking at the car first. I work crazy hours and must have a car as I have to drive the girls daily to activities. I don't have time in my work schedule to sit there for them to diagnose then give me a rental if it is going to take time. To do that I would be late to work and yeah, in this economy not going to do that.

I'd call another dealer and talk to the service manager. Just tell them that you have this, this, and this going on and the people over at(insert name of dealership that's p*ssing you off)aren't handling the situation to your satisfaction. Explain to them that you need a loaner vehicle because of your job and its requirements, and I bet they'll take care of you. If nothing else, dealers like to get it over on one another, they figure if they can show up the competition they get you as a future customer.

Let us know how you make out. It looks like the rain we're supposed to have on Wednesday will work north as some snow showers, but I think y'all will just be dealing with cold again.

Sunflowerhippi,

I completely understand your frustration with the entire situation. Please, update me with how your experience at the dealership goes tomorrow and what they diagnose the issue as being.

Sincerely,
Michelle P., Chevrolet Customer Service

Well just got home. Both tire sensors are fixed.

Guess what the CEL light was. Another time this dealerships screwed up. It says on my paperwork that I got that they fixed a faulty wired break boost vacuum. They just put that in back in June to fix the lack of brakes on my 08 auto on start up.

This after they didn't torque down my suspension and bushings when they dropped the rear axle to put the new exhaust back on.

Oh the fun of crappy dealerships.
