Auto lights

Ok I went through the hell of changing a headlamp bulb and let me say, trying to get the new one twisted in was a PITA !! After several choice words that made the neigborhood dogs howl , I finally got it in , no thanks to the limited room GM designers left for my hand.My problem now is that my auto lights won't come on, even when I try to use the switch on the column.I have lights manually just not the autos.Any thoughts on what this might be ?

Lucky?

Lots of others on this forum would consider you very lucky! There was a long post on 'disabling auto lights', that I don't think ever got resolved...

Do they "auto on" when it's dark out? I took out the fuse in the 31 position (in the junction box under the hood) and in the day time/ brite lite conditions they stay off. Nite time or darker lite and they come on.

This car seems to have a mind of its own and it seems to have reset itself. Can you say Christine ? The keyfob has been giving me fits lately but it has a new battery.I wonder if it could be the culprit ?
