The 12V electrical system in the HHR won't zap you, but be super careful not to let a tool or anything else contact both battery terminals at the same time....there will be fireworks.
More than that - do not attempt to put a wrench or any metal tool on the Positive post of the battery until you have first removed the negative cable. If you do not do that, you can short the positive post to ground - and the result would not be pretty.

Well I replaced the 60A underhood fuse and hooked car up and still have the power steering error message. They didnt have the grey 2a fuse that goes in the inside fuse box but napa ordered me some and they will be in in the morning.

SO tempted to drive down to az and have them pull codes but maybe a bad idea.

Forgot about vent hose. I will look on ebay. Thanks for the info. Ya'll have been a big help.
