It's knocking constantly? When was the last time you checked your oil? Lets hope you didn't spin a bearing

So I went up and down it I think 5 times and each time it pulled the same.

20 psi in first, 25 in the next two gears and then dropped a little before I had to shut down and stop, though I'll admit with so much torque steer you do spend a lot of time driving and less time looking at any gauge.

Once again maybe my gauge is off, but the butt dynometer says it's good.

Now the only thing I need to do (knock on wood) is add some better tires than the oems.

IMO
Anything over 20 PSI is good on a Butt Dyno.

Codes? otherwise I'd be looking at the gas..what was the eng temp? 2nd gear is not that much of a load for gearing, you could probably pull out in 2nd and be ok...so I;d be looking at weak/water/or shyster tanker trucks.

Must be bum gauge, or you're not reading it right. 25 lbs. of boost on a stage 1, ain't gonna happen. If it accidently does happen, you better watch your charge piping and intercooler end tanks. They have a habit of blowing up at anything over 24 lbs.
you gots a problem somewhere ,that the car don't like.

I boost between 24-25 consistantly, although I got other toys. GM told me it shouldn't go over 20-21, BPV is OK. But then again, I think I have one of the only SS's without problems. KNock on Wood!

Whether the gauge is correct or not doesn't concern me.

What is nice is for the first time since the upgrade, it is solid, doesn't surge or buck, or throw a cel and goes like hell.

That's all I can ask and if in a year it pops something, well, I'll deal with it then.

Dropped it off at the dealer this AM so we shall see what they come up with. It runs fine until the boost gets to right about 25psi that when the engine knock happens.

I bought my HHR from Andy of ADM so I am not sure if he had something done to get a bit more boost but I could easily hit 25psi when in any gear other than 1st. I never had an issue in the 2+ years of owning it but something happened Friday morning.
