Cool Chevy Bow Tie

The Chevy Bow Tie on the rear of the vehicle has a fix in place thus recent replacements should be pretty solid. In addition there have been improvements to the grill bow tie. Believe most dealers will continue to address any issues as part of goodwill.

If you think the HHR bowties are crappy, I saw two 2010 Chevy work trucks that the emblems were almost completely gone already.

What is the 'fix' that's in place? How much does the rear one cost if you are no longer under warranty?

I had the same issue, also saw it on a Friend's 2006 Chevrolet Equonox (sp), I am kinda annoyed as the car is otherwise flawless.

The front bowtie on my '09 started looking crappy, so I just ordered the overlays from Flamingdecals.com. Like 87Silver said, easy enough to replace the vinyl, or just paint it later on.

Later

Are the emblems hard to remove? I want to remove them to paint but if it's a pain I will just tape everything up good...

I have a 2010 HHR LS and noticed the start of deterioration of the emblems...more so the front than back. So it looks like Chevy hasn't come up with a fix just yet. Maybe next year

Rear bow tie fell off two weeks ago after years of looking like crap.
Nothing a can of gloss black couldn't fix.
Rear hatch trim and front grill all black.
