he says it's a HRT trailer by Cyclemate (but looks like the link to the original manufacturer page is dead)

but further on in the thread he says they bought the HHR and LT emblems and made the HRT logo themselves

This is the kit I installed in Oldblue ten years ago

https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...oe+kit,1001602

Maybe 8 years I don’t remember exactly, but the components are simple and marked for which side they apply to, and basic rule of brakes is don’t take both sides apart at same time!

This is the kit for 2006-2009

This is the kit for late 2009-2011

Note that the 2010-2011 brakes are the familiar American type. 2006-2009 are European type. The hold down system is different, and the self adjusters are reversed. The self adjuster levers are different. 99% of mechanics that have ever seen drum brakes have not seen the European type.

The rear brakes and master cylinder were replaced. Then the front brakes locked up.

If the problem is improperly installed adjusters on the rear, because of the amount of money involved, I would want to carefully document disassembly by a cooperative independent mechanic.

Do we even know if this is ABS?

If JL4 shows up on the sticker in the glove box, I don’t know that has been established and confirmed.

Sorry guys, it was my birthday today so I wasn't checking in on this.

I will double check the glove box for the ABS code, but I think the code for ABS is JM4 for the 2006.

OK, I was able to get the tires off and get a pic of the rear brakes.

It looks lopsided compared to the pic in a previous thread.

P/S Rear Brake

Also, I don't think this HHR has ABS.

Look like the D/S adjuster might not be contacting the star. The adjusters might be on the wrong sides; from the outside the stars should move the shoes outward when clicked UP, from the backing plate that would be DOWN.

This doesn't look right.
