noticed the front brakes are vibrating when going down a long hill and they need to be held on , then they started to vibrate when stopping at stop lights . the front pads and rotors were changed 20 000 km ago . there is 100 000 km on the car . front end seems good

Either you have a hard spot on a rotor and they're warped do to heat, as in over braking.
What brand did you buy?

Or the rear brakes need adjustment!
Could be ball joints , rear lca bushings tie rod ends , steering rack gear loose.

Why not take it to a dealership and have the power steering fixed under the extended warranty/recall? No need to clear it as it will clear as soon as the fault (the motor overheating) goes away.

Dirty, out of adjustment rear brakes will cause shudder. You would be surprised at the difference new rear brakes makes after 150,00 miles, even if they "look" good.

Canada had a different recall/warranty from the US. I don't remember which the 2007 came under.

I totally recall, it’s not a recall, it’s an extended warranty
