Brakes roaring noise
Ok, so I took the SS to another garage yesterday. They took the pads off and checked them and said they are not glazed and the rotors are fine. They said they thought it could be that the vented rotors are just louder under a hard stop than the OEM ones. What else could it be? I did not change the brake fluid when I did the brakes. Could that cause this? They also told me my hubs are in great shape.
Nope the brake fluid wouldn't cause noise, and you really only want to change it if the system is showing signs of contamination. You may just be dealing with a combination of rotors and pads that make noise, that can be a trade off with performance brakes.
The only thing I can think of suggesting is maybe going to another compound on the pads, something "softer" may quiet things down for you. I'd call the manufacturer and see what they say in regards to the noise and compound options.
