it was freezing me out on a 650 mile trip after we got here a few days later that's when the issue started. was just blowing cool air and the compressor kept engaging and disengaging every few seconds. so looking online and past experience add a little 134 and it would become cold again. well, that didn't work. so set up the gauges and got it down to where it should be and nice and cold again!! but no clue what caused the problem in the first place???

Maybe it was low, then you over charged with the can. Prime example for letting the pros mess with AC.

If the gauge on the 134A can wasn't adhered to, yep!

There is the point that someone made: the r134a is supposed to be loaded by weight not pressure. Pressure is not a reliable measure.
