Heheheheh - thanks for the succinct waterfall-removal instructions! (you copied and pasted them from your Owner's Manual, didn't you!!)

My engineer buddy (aka Excellent Mechanic) was available tonight, so he checked the BCM relay I mentioned above (functions properly) and checked system pressures with compressor relay jumped to "on." Pressures were appropriate.
He asked me to find wiring diagrams for the fan module and/or compressor clutch and/or entire a/c system. He suspects that the wiring harness may be a problem because it looks like it's funky near the fan module (may have been spliced - looks very messy).
I tried to search these forums from his house to no avail, but I'm sure they're around here somewhere. (would 2010 be very different than a 2006?) (seems like the SS motor has same a/c as 2.2 & 2.4?)

Thanks again guys...

Previous photo is fan and module perspective - below photo is a close up of the wires (I showed these back when I bought the car, wondering if my boost problem might have been related to this)

JSK, Check your PM, let me know when you get it so I can reclaim the storage space.

Thanks again, Donbrew, for your help.

Long story short - wasn't able to connect to the tool yet, I probably won't be able to get this repaired while I still NEED a/c in Missouri... but I'll update here when I get it solved!

Hey guys,
I'm not positive that this Amazon-listed part contains both the fan assembly AND the control module that we refer to. I see the plug-in and what appears to be a controller, but I'm not positive...
Does it look like both are on this? (I want to replace the pair - fan AND control module)
Amazon Amazon

I have resigned myself to throwing a part at this problem. My buddy with that switching-device just isn't available, and hot weather is coming, and it seems that the control module and/or fan assy seems to represent a VERY large possibility of being the problem.

Forgive me, guys, for doing this. I know it rubs you all (me too) the wrong way... but I have exhausted all my electronic/computer diagnostic capabilities and am still not willing to take it to a dealer.

Thank you guys!

When I put that part number into ebay the compatibility listed it for 2.2/2.4.

15940324 Seems to be the right one for SS. Only a couple $ more.

You can test the fan by bypassing the module, connect A & B directly to 12V and ground. I think you can just jump B to 1. The module is a PWN fan speed controller, like an extremely fast relay.

wholesalegmpartsonline says that 15-81765 is the same as 15940324, for the SS, and Amazon also says it fits SS.
