A/C System Knowledge

Where would I go to understand how the A/C System works in my Chevy HHR?

I must be bad at searching, I could not find a system diagram or general explainer on both this site or the general internet.

Welcome to the site, in general the HVAC system is common to most GM vehicles, if you tell us some more about any symptoms you are experiencing, or any CEL codes we can assist you to resolve the problem.
Most areas of the system have been addressed over the years, so the threads and posts aren’t in one place.

Too put it bluntly, the HHR system works the same as most automotive systems have for many, many years.
If you're looking for general AC knowledge, then Youtube has many videos as Donbrew (the Invisible Man) has pointed out.

If you're looking for a specific HHR related AC problem, post up your question. We have several members that can help you with AC stuff.

In my opinion, the HHR A/C system is easy to work on, excluding the electronics. Charging and replacing components is all straightforward. When properly charged the drop in air temperature should be 55-60 degrees out the vents.
