can anyone identify this fluid

Tranny fluid is red, this is not oil. Could it be AC fluid?

it is oily, no grit and yellowish green. ugly, and yes I tasted it. bitter bitter bitter. not dex-cool if it is AC I think the cold-side hard pipe possibly ruptured an AC line. I didn't have time to figure out where it was comming from. Really pissed, as the exterior damage is minimal. I will have a good time cleaning all this crap off when she is fixed got a bad feeling im gonna have T-map issues too. I know power steering fluid is close to this but this is way too far forward in the compartment to be that, brake fluid is close to this color too. Really puzzled

With that taste it isn't coolant so you may be right. Maybe it is car tears.

Looks like A/C fluid, there is a small amount of oil in the A/C system to keep the pump & etc lubed ..

I certainly wouldn't recommend tasting unknown fluids..

Oh well. Couldn't be as lucky as that member who ran over the "hair gel" a couple months back.

I wish it was hair gel. im telling ya don't hit a high curb, you'll be in the same boat. Beer cans have more integrity. Five star crash rating equals accordion front end.

Actually, R134a, the refrigerant used in our (and most cars since the 90s) is colorless and odorless. It's the dye they put in it for leak detection that has the color.
