Thanks for answering one of my irritating issues. Guess undercover Law Enforcement need not use such a limited vehicle for surveillance. Reminds me of GM's constantly turning fans of the 70-80's. Why give the consumer a choice? Heck, if you need to work on your vehicle or carry something with the back hatch open there's always a fuse to be removed!

On my former '98 S-10, you could simply shut off inside lighting by dash button.. (ahh, the good old days)...
