Can't Link with ECM

Anyone having this problem? We tried to hook HPTuners up to tune the car and it will not communicate with the computer. I also tried to hook up the scan tool to try yo retrieve the code in the computer, it has an error.

What is going on?

Blown fuse maybe. I think the same fuse for the accessory outlet runs the data link.

ChevyMgr is right about the power source. Check that.

Also, make sure you have a current copy of the software. That could be the issue if the power is not.

Would it be one of the big fuses under the hood of the car? The Acc. works to run everything.

Thanks for the reply's

Check the #29 fuse under the hood. It's a 20 amp fuse. If it's not that you possibly have a wiring issue or issue with your scanner.

Again, what ChevyMgr said....

#29 is for the dash outlet (cigarette lighter for some). That also powers the OBD plug.

Brad, my fuse '06 2LT is a 15. Did that change?

Geoff, If it turns out the power is not the issue, PM me. There's a data buss incompatibility that comes up occasionally with HPTuners that I know a "fix" for.

Yes, the 2006 shows to be a 15 amp, but doesn't tell me the fuse location number. It states it is the "Lighter Fuse".
