Unhappy Car wont start but everything else works

I have a 2009 HHR LT with the 2.4L engine. I drove it all day the other day thenm parked it for a couple hours. When I got back in it to go to work that night it wouldnt start. When I turn the key on all lights work all instruments work but the car will not turn over. I thought it was the starter but after changign the starter it still does the same thing. I checked all fuses and relays but they are all intact. Ideas I have had are Neutral Safety Switch adn ignition switch.. Can anybody give me any other ideas or tell me how to fix this. I NEED MY CAR!!!!

Welcome to the site

Have you tested the battery? Is your car a automatic or standard trans?

Then double check the ground wire connections near the battery and up front near the oil filter housing and at the rad cradle make sure they are clean and tight!

Does the starter motor turn.
Is there any clicking and whirring?

Why do you suspect the ignition switch?

Starter is good and as far as i know wiring is good... service manager at dealership said it could be the ignition switch... i don't have money to take it to shop so i was just asking questions and explaining what was going on.. he said ignition switch or neutral park position switch
