Actually that part price isn't too bad from what I have seen. I called the Chevy dealer for kicks and they want $101.52! I have to add the gas cost to get to the salvage yard but it probably will be worth it so I can get the air intake hose and hopefully a roof rack rack.

Yes I have a crimping tool, connectors, butt connections, shrink tubing etc so it may be easier and quicker to just cut the wires.

Yes it would be, and those connectors are on the VVT solenoids of most 2.4 GM products, Saturn , Saab , Pontiac, and such

The tools I meant are for inserting the pins into the connector and those pins.
Soldering and shrink tubing is much better than crimp connectors.
