Check Engine Light came on after Coolant Guage stop working!
Okay so since I last posted I have done nothing. The coolant temperature kept reading - - - up until a couple days ago. When it suddenly started working again. And the AC and heat both started working again. Still had the engine light on though...
Then two days ago I got the Gas Cap Open warning again. Several hours later, the coolant temperature started reading - - - again and guess what... the AC stopped working again.
Weird how the Gas Cap Open warning always seems to precede the coolant temperature reading going out again.

Take it in to the dealer I would bet to say similar if not same issue. I did not include it in my original post, but I too got CEL for the gas cap which was secure also. After I cleared the code then it came back on again and was giving off the code P0128. I cleared the code twice and with in 30 mins of driving the light would come right back on.The only way to get the gauge and AC to work is to either clear the code or remove the red 50amp fuse from the Positive battery terminal in the rear. This will clear the code, If you don't have speakers and an amp like me no biggie, just a pain in the ass. But eventually it will happen again so take it in.
This just happened to me just as described here. Supposed to leaving first thing in the morning on a trip. This BITES!! Don't know whether to go or not now. Bonnie's is already down becuase a no tc light came on in hers. What great timing!
I'm dealing with this issue now. After reading these posts I know it's nothing major, just annoying. I took it yesterday but, I didn't have the error code handy and of course it was a day when the temp gauges decided to work. I'm gonna have to take it back on Monday to get it resolved now that I have the code written down.
