Yup the solenoids are the problem and it does seem that the one for the exhaust camshaft is out of stock most places. I'm glad that they decided to step up and take care of you properly instead of giving you the run around.

I'm trying to come up with some way to approach them about this...

This dealership is the one that tried charging me the $140 when my CEL came on and my car only had ~20k miles on it, so everything should have been covered under the bumper-to-bumper warranty.

You put one foot in front of the other & repeat..Then explain your case. If they like repeat biz, you should get satisfaction. And let then know that too..
