Hi I have a 2007 Chevy HHR LS Panel with around 50,000 miles, recently the check engine light came on and I was able to pull code P0451 (EVAP Emission Control System Pres Sensor Range) with a scanner. I have not noticed any problems while driving, can anyone guide me on what I need to check on the vehicle?

 

The gas cap. You'll get that if it's loose.

Yeah that's the "loose cap" code, they either didn't tighten it until it clicked when you filled up last or you have a cap going bad.

Check the O-ring on the cap for cracking or breaks, if it looks OK, tighten it until you hear the required number of clicks and the code should clear itself after some driving.

If your cap is pooped out, Stant part number 10841 is the $10 replacement available at any auto parts store.
