Quality control problem. I think maybe three of my 4 HHR’s had crappy threads on the fitting, probably due to the supplier running parts on a worn-out tooling. Looks to me like the mold secments don’t match anymore. The result is than not only is the cap hard to turn, but threads tend to cross-up when starting. I brought one home from a boneyard that seems pretty good. They didn’t even charge me for it.
