Cruise fixed itself?

Awhile back my Cruise control stopped working on a trip back home. Didn't work since Dec 6.. Steering wheel light was on anytime I tried it but would not engage.. Today 43 deg. for the heck of it I tried it and it worked! Been in the teens or lower most of the time since Dec. Could something have been frozen /stuck that made it not work? Or more likely a loose connection that our craters/pot holes knocked back in place? Any spot I should look at to check connections?Looked in search so far nothing Thanks

If "steering wheel light was on" - there's your answer. Cruise is disabled for most error conditions, as well as brake lights must not have burnt out bulbs.

I think he meant the "on" light.

I am betting you have a tiny vac leak somewhere that causes a "stealth" code when it's cold. Some of them require consecutive starts to actually light up the CEL.

Oh the "Cruise on" was lit - right. I thought he meant power steering warning.

Thanks for the replies.. What I meant about the light was if you push the cruise button on the steering wheel it would stay lit like normal , But no Cruise engaged on the DIC , I checked all the rear lights and all were working , Sorry I am bad at explain things
