Died On Interstate
Evening All.
Was stuck in traffic today on the interstate.
2008, lt, 99K. Engine died.
Has all electrical power, cranks, does not start.
Checked all the fuses, and they are in place. Disconnected the battery for about an hour, reconnect and still cranks but no start.
Saw there are plenty of threads, but cannot seem to find any solutions.
Thoughts from the gallery?
Thanks!
Carl

my best guess if a fuel pump. if it still cranks, battery/alternator/starter are working. if the engine didnt make some noise(breaking parts), its should still be able to have compression. really only leaves fuel and ignition. im not 100% sure how the ignition works, but its all electronic. meaning no distributor or rotor. so thats how i arrived at my theory. good luck with your hhr
i suppose that could still work? open the airbox and spray a little in the tube? probably set off the MAF sensor
Check the fuel pump fuse and relay. Not sure on these #s.Fuse 13.Relay 19. Try replacing the fuse even if it doesn't look bad. The relay can be swapped with a known good one just to check for voltage to the pump.
