My problem is that I'm not getting "bright back light" daytime dash lighting but I do get the dimmer nighttime dash backlighting. Are there two bulbs involved, one bright daylight and one dimmer nighttime? Are the dash lighto hard to get to?

 

In the sunny daylight I don't have "bright back light" either..
Why do you need them in the sunshine ?

 

Because when you happen to be in the shade combined with reflections the speedometer etc. are hard to see. I had bright back light before and don't now. my radio has bright display in daylight and dimmer at night and the dash is supposed to do that too.

 

I was watching mine a couple of days ago. Mine has no backlight at all in the day light, just the numbers etc. The backlight comes on when the numbers dim for headlights on. At least that's what I could figure while on my 3 hour 40 mile ride home.
