Door Open Chime does not sound

Door Open Chime does not sound

It happened about a week ago and I checked the fuses nothing. Then it started working again. Now it stopped. Any ideas? I checked all the fuses again. It is an 07 with 70000 miles. Thanks

I believe the chime sound (as well as turn signal click) comes through the radio speakers. I had an issue and just pulled the radio fuse out and pushed it back in. The issue went away. I don't know why GM set the chimes, buzzers etc to come through the radio speakers.

why add more speakers when you can use the radios, makes perfect sense. I don't think this is entirely new either.

Sounds like mine. Open the drivers door and notice where the wire harness goes from the door to the body. There is a gray boot. There is a plug inside the boot but so far I only have to wiggle the harness and it all starts to work again. Some day I'll check the plug connector.
