Drove straight through from Detroit to Birmingham Alabama with no discomfort. But I'm 58" and 30" inseam so the car is almost tailor made for me. ((I'm exactly on the statistical average for height that interior designers use.)

In the mean time I took a one inch piece of foam and made black cover for it, put a strap around the top and hooked it around the headrest posts. It covers the ares from the SS emblems down to the seat cushion. This works great for my back.
Fantastic idea. I was thinking about taking a trip to wally world or my local auto parts store to see what they had. Everything else about this car rocks.

I'm 6' and drive from MES to NC once a month and never ever have a problem with my back hurting or anything. Its a 7 hour trip and I don't stop. Of coarse I'm only 19 so it pays to be young. You should try to get some of that memory foam stuff they use for mattress's. I bet that would do the trick. Buy a seat cover and put that stuff underneath.

I don't have issues with the cloth 2LT seat, seems that the lumbar support could be just a touch more, but it's good and placed well. I found a position that's comfortable for arm length and leg length. That did take awhile to find though....... I'm 5'7" with a 30 year history of "wasted back syndrome" (degenerative disc disease) and the firmness of the stock seat is great, I can't sit on "cushy" seats. (sofa's, loungers, Cadillacs, etc.)

I don't like this particular cloth though, but that's not a comfort issue.

I have the cloth seats and I haven't had the problems everyone else seems to have. It might help that i came over from a bench seat S-10...but I'm 5'9' and more than a couple of pounds over... and with the lumbar all the way off, i like the seat. I wouldn't mind if it would lower a bit more (as much for cool as comfort) but that's not a really huge issue. I drove mine from Indy to about 40 miles west of Boston in one straight shot, and felt fine after. I do think the seat breaks in with use.

I have the performance seats and they are great. The only thing I have issue with is it takes some work to get them adjusted like I want.

I could use a little more leg room or a telescopic wheel.

I like the leather seats on my 2LT

I don't find them uncomfortable at all. Girlfriend likes them, too. I guess the seats on the LS are more austere. I'm glad I don't remember my LS test driver's seats. The 2LT leather is all I know. Ignorance is bliss!

{snip} I do think the seat breaks in with use.
Same here, my 2LT seats are fine, especially compared to my former S-10 bench.
Plus I did add fitted seat covers.. I love the Lumbar adj...

I too have not been able to find a comfortable position on the drivers seat. I had the pleasure of sitting in the back seat for a trip from Arlington to Plano. Descent room but my butt said the seat was to hard. Still, we are negotiating on a blue half panel as we speak. That says how much we love my LS.
