Driver side door lock issue
Hello, I have a 2008 chevy hhr... my key fobs stopped working for me so I have been using the automatic lock button on my driver side door to lock the car (it locks all 4 doors)... never had a problem till today. After work, went to unlock my car.. key in lock and it was turning back and forth but the door would not unlock. I called someone to unlock my car and got home... I tried locking my car again and this time it unlocked... what is causing this? And is it gonna cost me??

Something is broken inside the door. It will cost you something unless you or somebody you know has a bit of mechanical aptitude. It is not magic, just levers and cams. Probably needs lube, at least.

I agree
remove the door trim and carefully inspect everything and pull
the door mechanics are intuitive, just a leverages
I hope it's not an electrician
Here is a video of how to open HHR through the rope (just in case).
I myself did this more than once - a working method. But there is a note - it is more convenient to unblock the back door.
