An ECM question

So I see someone said you can't use a 2 plug ecu on a 2.4l but can you use a 2.4l ecu on a 2.2l which doesn't require that plug normally? I'm just curious because I believe my ecu got fried when a bunch of wires melted together, after replacing the entire engine harness the car just cranks but never fires, seems it's getting no fuel pressure to the rail.

Sorry, I don't get what you mean. Did you install a 3 plug where there used to be a 3 plug? Did you use the old ECM?

Why do you think your problem is related to the ECM?

It would probably be better to start a new thread.
