I finally was able to work on the car and removed the underhood fuse box. All connections looked good. After a couple of attempts to reinstall it I finally got it right and the car started. But the CEL came back on.
I went over to Advance Auto and they checked the code for me. There is only one but the same as before P0449. At this moment I have replaced the gas cap and checked the fusebox and the code returns. It is supposed to rain all week so I may not get to do any work on it for a bit since I don't have a garage to work in at this moment.
I have searched here for P0449 threads and plan to troubleshoot it step by step as I don’t have the money to just throw parts at it to see if that works. I still think it is a loose connection. The problem is where. LOL
I want to install my hitch on it so I may check the nearby solenoid next unless someone has a better idea for me. Thanks!
